TeamLease Services, a staffing company, launched job hotline in 11 languages. The hotline is being set up because of poor access for labour market outsiders (less skilled, less educated people from small towns, women coming back from a break etc) to jobs and relevant training.

The hotline will try reduce the gap of matching (connecting people to jobs) and mismatch (training unemployable supply for jobs). TeamLease is investing close to Rs 20 crore for the initiative to be launched in phases.

Users calling the hotline (600 12345) will receive a unique candidate ID and an upto eight minute preliminary assessment that enters them into a propriety job matching engine. Candidates shortlisted will then be invited to take an hour advanced assessment at 150 centres across the country.

Candidates who are not "job ready" but "near fits" will receive counseling for training with TeamLease's training partners. After training, the candidate would be jointly certified by TeamLease and their upgraded profile would be reprocessed.
