Tejpreet Chopra new GE India chiefOur web Bureau / Mumbai May 21, 2007General Electric Company (GE) today announced the appointment of Tejpreet Singh Chopra as president and CEO for GE in India, succeeding Scott R Bayman, who fulfilled the role for 14 years.Chopra will be responsible for the strategic and overall leadership of all GE businesses in India, according to the release issued by the company.Chopra is currently the president and CEO of GE Commercial Finance, India. A ten-year GE veteran, Chopra brought considerable management and global finance experience to his role, which he assumed in May 2006, the release said.
