System integration firm Teracom today said it has bagged a Rs 12.6 crore broadband services deal from the Indian Railways.
As per the deal, about 30,000 officials of the Indian Railways will be able to access broadband services at their residences and offices, Teracom said in a statement.
Indian Railways has more than 100 exchanges across the country catering to communication requirements of its officials.
These exchanges provide voice communication to the officials at their residences in Railway colony as well offices.
The scope of work includes installation and commissioning of modems at the customer-end as well as connect existing Railways copper infrastructure with Railtel's network.
"We will also provide round the clock support to keep up the network live through the day," Teracom Senior Vice- President (Marketing) Puneet Jain said.
