Teracom today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 28 crore from state-run BSNL for supplying, installing and commissioning telecom equipment.
The scope of the project is to supply 6 GHz SDH Microwave equipment, installation and commissioning at 29 locations, which are mostly far-flung remote locations in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur, Teracom said in a statement.
The order bagged by Teracom is worth Rs 28 crore and is expected to be executed over a period of 10 months, it added.
Customers will now get more coverage and capacity, which will resolve network issues and provide better voice and data connectivity to them.
Teracom has already successfully supplied 15 GHz microwave radio equipment to BSNL last year.
"We are happy that we have won this bid in spite of fierce competition from major instrumental vendors like Alcatel–Lucent and Ericsson," Teracom Whole Time Director Rajeev Venkat said.
