Thermax has posted a 50% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 102.53 crore for FY06 when compared with Rs 68.28 crore for FY05. According to an official release issued to the BSE today, total income for FY06 increased 28% to Rs 1639.77 crore when compared with Rs 1281.36 crore for FY05. The company has posted a 60% jump in net profit of Rs 41.97 crore for Q4FY06 when compared to with Rs 26.19 crore for Q4FY05. Total income rose 38% to Rs 480.06 crore for Q4FY06 when compared with Rs 347.42 crore in Q4FY05.The board has recommended a 170% dividend for FY06, i.e. Rs 3.40 per share
