Engineering company Thermax has received a Rs 415-crore order from a leading steel making company to set up a captive power plant on an engineering, procurement and construction contract basis.
The captive power plant is being set up for the client’s upcoming blast furnace complex and will use waste gas from the furnace to produce power, the company informed BSE today.
This order is a part of the 4.2 MTPA steel capacity expansion of the customer. Thermax will design, manufacture, supply, erect and commission the captive power plant with blast furnace gas fired boilers, steam turbine generators and balance of plant.
