Pune-based Industrial energy solutions provider, Thermax Ltd, has recorded a drop of 11 per cent in its standalone net profit at Rs 68 crore for the quarter ended December 21, 2015, as compared to Rs 76 crore during the same period a year ago.
The company's operating revenue was down eight per cent at Rs 1,039 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 1,125 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.
The order backlog of the group stood at Rs 4,767 crore, down 23 per cent from Rs 6,218 crore last year.
The lower profit number was due to the continued delay in core sector revival, the company said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Shares of Thermax Ltd closed flat at Rs 836.60 on the BSE on Friday
