Three people were killed in an accident at an Emami Biotech factory at Haldia in West Bengal’s East Medinipur district on Sunday.

“According to my information, three labourers slipped into a well where waste materials were accumulated. The workers were trying to clean it and were trying to shift those wastes manually. Since, it was chemical factory; they were exposed to some poisonous gas. Two were killed on the spot,” said Ajit Sarkar, Superindent of Police, East Medinipur.
