Thyssenkrupp commissions plant at Nashik

Nashik-based ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel India Pvt Ltd (TKES India) has commissioned its hydrogen unit adjacent to its facility at Gonde, 25 km from Nashik.
 
Speaking to Business Standard, a senior company official said, "We have set up a hydrogen plant adjacent to ThyssenKrupp's Gonde facility, near Nashik, at an investment of Rs 30 crore. The capacity of the hydrogen plant is 800 cubic metres per hour."
 
In September 2000, EBG Germany, a subsidiary of Germany-based ThyssenKrupp Steel, had bought the Gonde-based steel division of Raymond Ltd for Rs 412.26 crore.
 
Thereafter, ThyssenKrupp Steel had started commercial operations at the Gonde unit by setting up a subsidiary - 'TKES India.' The production capacity of the steel division is 2 lakh metric tonnes a year.
 
TKES India manufactures electrical steel and mild steel products at its Gonde (Nashik) unit. Electrical steel products of ThyssenKrupp are called PowerCore® products in all forms and all languages worldwide.
 
TKES India is the only company in India producing and offering entire range of non-ageing, electrical energy conserving PowerCore® products namely: 'Cold Rolled Non Grain Oriented Electrical Steel' and 'Cold Rolled Grain Oriented Electrical Steel'.
