ThyssenKrupp Industries India (TKII), an EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) company, today said it has bagged multiple deals worth over Rs 1,000 crore from three leading national and international business conglomerates, involving the delivery and installation of equipments of their Mining & Bulk Material Handling (MHE) and Boiler & Power Plant (B&PP) divisions.  

As part of the contract with Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Kochi Refinery, TKII will provide complete bulk material handling system for Petcoke.

For a leading Indian Petrochemical company, who are setting up a Coal/ Petcoke based Captive Power Plant at their facility, TKII will provide Bulk Material Handling System for fuel (coal/ petcoke) and limestone on EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis. This project involves truck unloading system for coal/ coke & limestone, stacker, portal scrapper reclaimer, conveyors, covered storage for fuel and limestone, bulk reception units, limestone preparation unit and pneumatic conveying of pulverized limestone.

The boiler package being supplied to a Thermal Power Project in Philippines comprises of three nos. 220 TPH coal fired CFBC boilers along with auxiliaries like Electro Static Precipitators (ESP), Fans, Fuel Feeding system, Elevators, Electrical & Instrumentation Packages etc. on design, engineering & supply basis for a 3 x 55 MWe Thermal Power Plant at Balingasag, Mindanao, Philippines.

ThyssenKrupp Industries India so far has commissioned over 50 CFBC boilers successfully, while another 15 boilers are under various stages of commissioning.

“ThyssenKrupp’s business particularly in the MHE and Boilers divisions in India and South East Asian countries has seen a significant boost owing to both increased demand and an aggressive international market outreach,” said Sivasubramanian Natarajan, Managing Director, ThyssenKrupp Industries India.

“With this technology, we are hoping to create the infrastructure to suit local requirements and are confident that we will soon be able to extend our CFBC technology to higher size boilers in the utility segment,” he added.
