Mongoose bicycles, popular among teenagers in the US, Canada and Australia, may soon ply on Indian roads. TI Cycles is contemplating import of this brand; a decision would be taken within the next two to three months.

With an import duty of 14 per cent, the Mongoose range would cost around Rs 15,000 in India. The company is currently testing the market in Mumbai with its in-house developed Qross Hercules range, that costs over Rs 8,000 and caters to children in the 12-18 years group.
