Timbor Home Pvt Ltd, an Ahmedabad-based modular kitchen manufacturing company has tied up with lifestyle retailing major Shopper's Stop for opening up two stores, one each at Bangalore and Delhi.

The agreement was signed last week and the two stores will be launched in September this year.

Company executives told Business Standard that the lifestyle retailing major is planning to open 27 stores at various locations in the country in the future and Timbor might extend the tie up.

"Last week the management of Timbor signed an agreement with Shopper's Stop. As per the agreement the company will open two of its stores within the Shopper's Stop stores, under its own brand-name. The shops will spread over 150 square feet of space to Timbor. The company earlier refused tie up offers from retail giants like Reliance, Big Bazaar and Pantaloons and decided to tie up with Shopper's Stop," said Anant Maloo, Managing Director, Timbor Home Pvt Ltd.

"Our stores will be launched during the next month. Bangalore store will be launched during the first week of September and the New Delhi store will be opened during the last week of September. We might extend the tie up further also as Shopper's Stop is planning to add 27 more stores in the future," said Maloo, indicating that this might be the start of a longer relationship between the two companies.

Presently, Timbor Home has a distribution network of 54 exclusive kitchen stores across the country. Timbor products conform to all the American and European trends in design and standards like ASTM, DIN, EU with regards to product quality and environmental norms.

The company aims to touch 100 stores mark within this fiscal by adding 46 stores across the country.

"The demand for modular kitchens is increasing. Construction and retail sectors are growing at the rate of 30 per cent and simultaneously our company is also growing at 70 per cent annually. We have doubled the manufacturing facility and the expanded facility will be functional by end of September this year," Maloo added.

The company also sees sales growth in the coming days. "We are targeting Rs. 250 crore business by 2010. This will be achieved through expansion in marketing facilities and this strategic tie up with Shopper's Stop," Maloo added.
