Titan Industries, the jewellery and watches division of the Tata Group, has signed a long-term agreement with Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp of the US, to manufacture high precision components for auxiliary power units, ram air turbine, flap actuator systems, engine control, environmental control systems and electronic engine controls that are deployed in leading commercial aircraft like Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and Dassault Falcon.
"Hamilton Sundstrand is a very important customer and we are tremendously pleased to strengthen our relationship with this agreement. Titan, has over the past couple of years, developed over 100 components and look forward to significantly expand this portfolio," B G Dwarakanath, chief operating officer, Titan's Precision Engineering Division said.
Titan's Precision Engineering Division provides complete precision engineering solutions catering to the growing demand of high precision components for the aerospace, automotive, engineering and medical industry. The division focuses on providing tooling solutions, precision components and electronic circuit boards. The division also builds special purpose machines and provides comprehensive automation solutions for assembly and inspection.
