Titan Industries has pilot launched in Bangalore Cal Track, a 24x7 calorie tracker. The product marks Titan's foray into specific person accessories segment.
 
The pilot test will run for about three months, after which the company will evaluate consumer feedback, incorporate changes if any and roll it to other parts of the country.
 
Bijou Kurien, COO-watches, Titan Industries said that the Cal Track is the result of over two years of research along with the Mysore University of Food Science and Nutrition.
 
It not only registers the steps tread by a person but also tracks the calorie expenditure throughout the day, unlike pedometers wThe product is powered by a chip, which derives its programme from a WHO recommended formula.
 
Titan has badged the product under the licensed brands and accessories division. This business unit is also the licensee for Tommy Hilfiger watches.
