Titan to open 300 outlets, launches watches for kids

Tata group company Titan Industries, a leading producer of watches, today said it plans expand its reach by adding 300 outlets in big and small cities shortly.

"We are now expanding our reach to 1,500 outlets in Tier- I, -II and -III cities from the present 1,200 outlets," Titan Senior Marketing Manager Shyamala Ramanan told reporters on the sidelines of the launch of Zoop brand watches for kids here today.

Today, Titan's 1,200 outlets are spread across 140 cities in the country. To strengthen its focus on the kids segment, the company today launched its Zoop brand.

The company plans to tap 14-million kids population in the age-group of 5-12 years through its Zoop brand watches. Zoop offers as many as 70 styles for boys and girls and is afforadably priced from Rs 350 to Rs 900, Ramanan said.

The world's fifth-largest watch-maker, Titan is a leading producer and retailer of watches and jewellery. The watch division has a domestic market share of over 70 per cent of the organised market.
