Torrent Pharma today said its consolidated net profit rose by 7.26 per cent to Rs 107.25 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2012, over the same period in the previous fiscal.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 99.99 crore during the corresponding period of previous fiscal, Torrent Pharma said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 747.17 crore during the second quarter, as against Rs 655.96 crore in the same period of 2011-12 fiscal.
During the quarter under review, the company's revenues from domestic market rose by 15 per cent to Rs 274 crore, as compared to same period of 2011-12 fiscal.
The Ahmedabad-based firm's international revenues grew by 15 per cent to Rs 417 crore as compared to the same period of previous fiscal.
Shares of Torrent Pharma today closed at Rs 675 apiece on the BSE, down 0.84 from their previous close.
