A company release said over 20,000 connections were added in the last two months. Tamil Nadu is one of the largest circles of Touchtel, where it is providing fixed line services in Chennai, Pondicherry, Vellore, Coimbatore, Madurai and Tirupur.
The company further announced that for the quarter ended September 30, the total revenue was Rs 1,144 crore and the revenue for the first-half of the current fiscal was Rs 2,180 crore.
During the quarter ended September 30, mobile services represented approximately 66 per cent of its total revenues.
At the end of second quarter this fiscal, it made a gross investment of over Rs 11,228 crore in the telecom space.
BTVL offers mobile services in fifteen out of the 23 circles in India. Citing Cellular Operators' Association of India reports, the company in its release said 91 per cent of India's mobile total subscribers resided in circles where Bharti provides its services.
