Japanese car maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd (TKM) on Sunday said it would use Ennore port, in the suburbs here, as its base for exports of its to-be-launched compact car, the Etios.
The car manufacturer - a joint venture between Toyota of Japan, with 89 per cent of the total equity, and India’s Kirloskar Group - said it would look at sharing some infrastructure there with Nissan, which is also planning to use the same port to cater to its export markets.
To support its sales target in the domestic market, TKM is looking, it reiterated, at setting up its own financial arm.
