Toyota's Nov sales down 1.7%

Toyota Kirloskar Motor's November sales fell 1.7 per cent over November 2003 to 3,586 units. However, cumulative sales in 2004 at 43,509 vehicles, was up 21 per cent over the corresponding period last year.
 
A company statement said that the just launched Land Cruiser Prado, a premium sports utility vehicle has already had 30 bookings. Also, the Camry, which got a facelift and an automatic variant has once again got back ino the growth path. TKM sold 80 units in November a 167 per cent jump over the corresponding period last year.
 
In November, Corolla sales fell 15 per cent to 669 units, while Qualis grew marginally from 2,833 units to 2,837. In the first 11 months of the year, Qualis sales grew 20 per cent.
