Triumph setting up facility near Chennai

Triumph International is setting up a womenswear manufacturing facility at Maraimalainagar, 45 km from Chennai, on a 5,60,000 sft area, set on 14 acres of land.

The first phase of construction will feature a seating capacity for over 1,300 people. In the second phase, the factory will accommodate over 2,500 sewing operators, creating job opportunities for thousands of women.

This will be the company's 17th factory worldwide.

About 80 per cent of the products manufactured in the factory in Chennai will be exported, while the rest would be for the domestic market, Jan Rosenberg, director on the board of Triumph International, said. The average price of the lingerie would range from Rs 400 to Rs 1200.
