TrucksFirst raises $10 million

Gurgaon-based TrucksFirst Services has raised $10 million (Rs 61.8 crore) from SAIF Partners India. Others who took part in this round of funding were Singapore Post and McKinsey travel, transport and logistics director Thomas Netzer. The proceeds from the Series-A Funding will be used to strengthen technology, back-end and hiring. TrucksFirst coordinates delivery trucks going between different cities, using technology and innovative operational processes.

Indianroots raises $5 million

NDTV Ethnic Retail, a subsidiary of the NDTV, which operates the group's maiden e-commerce venture IndianRoots.com, has raised $5 million from KJS Group. IndianRoots.com was launched in 2013 and showcases over 100 designers and 700 brands on its online marketplace. It has a worldwide customer base with India and the US being the largest markets.

Bengaluru-based ZapStitch, a cloud data integration platform, has raised $2 million in a pre Series-A funding, led by Helion Venture Partners and Orios Venture Partners. ZapStitch is a data integration platform that enables businesses to automate their data flow across cloud business apps. The money will be used to develop products, strengthen the team and marketing initiatives. ZapStitch enables companies to synchronise and move data across multiple cloud apps, seamlessly.

RedPolka raises $250,000

Online fashion portal RedPolka has raised $250,000 from five angel investors, according to media reports. The online portal provides a platform for sellers to showcase their designs to a targeted audience. Brands can sign up for a fee to reach women shoppers, and RedPolka takes a commission on the sales.

Fulcrum backs Southern Health

Early growth investor Fulcrum Venture India is leading a Rs 30-crore investment round in Chennai-based Southern Health Foods, the maker of Manna Foods. With about 25 health food products, Manna Foods has created its niche in the ethnic health foods space, and plans to increase revenue to Rs 100-120 crore over the next two years.
