Delhi based, enterprise communications service provider, Tulip Telecom Ltd has reported growth of 61 per cent in net profit for the first quarter ended 30 June, 2008. Net profit for the company grew to Rs 45.96 crore from Rs 28.54 crore in corresponding quarter for the previous fiscal.
For the same time period, revenue of the company rose 56 per cent to Rs 334.61 crore up as compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
Commenting on the results, Lt Col H S Bedi, chairman and managing drector, Tulip Telecom said, “There is a strong demand for our services, as clients look to Tulip to add value to their businesses. We remain optimistic for the rest of the year as we are looking at enhancing our reach and introducing more service offerings.”
During the quarter, Tuilp Telecom added 221 employees to take its total headcount to 2,321 employees in India , an increase from 2,100 at the end of 31 March 2008. The company also declares basic earning per share of Rs 15.85.
