The court has granted TV Today Network interim relief and Radio City has given an undertaking that it will not disseminate the offensive content which is subject matter of the suit on any other media including all forms of printed, digital, and audio or audit visual dissemination including without limitation any such dissemination by SMS, Whatsapp or any other communication mode using a smart phone, cellular device, handheld devise or computer in addition to print and tangible media.
The court also asked Radio City to file its reply with the court by July 28, and any rejoinder by August 10. The final date of hearing the notice of motion will be decided on August 11.

The case filed is in connection with Radio City's show aired on June 17 which carried the said defamatory comments. The show was about an interview of Ex IPL chief Lalit Modi conducted by India Today consulting editor Rajdeep Sardesai. TV Today in its application claimed that the radio station has made comments which tarnished and defamed the plaintiff.
Radio City 91.1 FM, which is run by Music Broadcast Private Limited, was recently acquired by Jagaran Prakashan in a bit to fortify its media presence beyond print. TV Today on the other hands got approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to sell four of its seven radio station to Entertainment Networks India. All four stations are based in non-metro areas where SNIL’s Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM does not yet have any presence.
