TVS Motor August sales up 22%

TVS Motor Company's total two-wheeler sales in August 2005 stood at 1,03,063 units compared to that of 89,500 units last year registering a growth of 15 per cent.

The sales of motorcycles increased by 22 per cent with the sale of 59,675 units in August 2005 compared to 49,020 units in August 2004.

The scooterette sales also posted a growth of 18 per cent with the selling of 21,873 units in August 2005 as against 18,576 units last year.

The moped sales stood at 21,515 units in August 2005 compared to 21,904 units during the same period last year.

TVS Motor Company recorded a growth of 44 per cent in the export front.
