TVS Motor reports 6% growth in domestic sales during November

Company suffers sales loss of around 15,000 units due to rain in Tamil Nadu

TVS Motor has company has reported a six per cent growth in sales in the domestic market during the month of November at 190,490 units as against 179,453 units, a year ago.

Scooter sales grew by 22 per cent to 76,043 units in November 2015 from 62,223 units in November 2014. Motorcycles sales dropped to 82,163 units in November 2015 from 86,424 units in November 2014.

TVS said that it has witnessed robust domestic retail during the recent festival season.

Company's total exports was 33,621 units in November 2015 as against 39,215 units in November 2014. Two-wheeler exports dropped to 27,216 units in November 2015 from 31,526 units in November 2014.

TVS said that "incessant rains fro the past three weeks in Chennai have had an adverse effect on company's production during this period" and that the company suffered sales loss of around 15,000 units due to the inclement weather.
