Chennai-based two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company today reported 2.11% decline in its total vehicle sales in November at 1,71,837 units.
The company had sold 1,75,535 units in the same month last year.
Total two-wheeler sales of the company fell by 3.5% last month to 1,66,783 units from 1,72,829 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
Scooter sales dipped by 15.42% to 37,470 units in November from 44,301 units in the same month of 2011, while motorcycle sales went up by 4.61% to 65,494 units from 62,608 units in the year-ago period, it added.
The company's domestic two-wheeler sales registered a marginal decline to 1,50,056 units as against 1,50,406 units in November 2011.
Three-wheeler sales of the company, however, went up by 86.77% to 5,054 units from 2,706 units in the same month of 2011, the statement said.
The company's total exports decreased by 17.27% to 20,080 units from 24,271 units in the same month previous year, it added.
