Total exports has dropped 26.88 per cent to 31,121 units in March 2016 as compared to 42,565 units in same month of previous year. Two wheeler exports saw a decline of 19.2 per cent at 26,453 units in March 2016 as against 32,738 units during the previous March.
Total two wheeler sales increased by 13.3 per cent to 226,653 units from 200,121 units recorded in March 2015. Domestic two wheeler sales grew by 19.6 per cent to 200,200 units from 167,383 units in March, 2015.

Scooters sales grew by 24.7 per cent to 68,171 units in March 2016 from 54,683 units during the corresponding month in 2015. Motorcycles sales grew by 12.9 per cent to 86,776 units from 76,832 units during the same month of previous year.
Three wheeler sales registered a drop by 46 per cent to 5,874 units in March, as compared to 10,884 units during the same month, last year.
During the quarter ended on March, 2016, the company has sold 6.60 lakh units, registering a growth of 9.6 per cent from the 6.02 lakh units sold during the same period of 2015. The total two wheeler sales grew by 11.1 per cent at 6.39 lakh units during the three month ended on March, 2016, as compared to 5.75 lakh units sold in the corresponding quarter of previous year. The total three wheeler sales declined to 21,000 during January to March, 2016, compared to 27,000 during same period of previous year.
