For stakeholders who stayed invested in TVS Motor Company during its most turbulent times it is indeed "More smiles per Hour".

The company has rewarded its shareholders with a performance that has astounded its critics and competitors alike.

What is more, it has created value for its widest stakeholder, the Indian economic system, by validating its designing and manufacturing capabilities at a time when Indian backwardness in manufacturing is a matter of national concern.

All of this is based on just one product, the TVS Victor, which is the first indigenously designed and built modern four-stroke motorcycle in the country.

The Indian market, in which major global two-wheeler manufacturers are active, has given the Victor a certificate which indicates that the design can stand up to the best that is globally available in its range.

In a way this has broken the knowhow inadequacy that has been plaguing Indian companies in the automotive sector.

The biggest Indian car company, Maruti, entirely outsourced its technology from collaborator Suzuki. The biggest motocycle manufacturer Hero Honda has worked similarly.

In fact, the parting of ways between Venu Srinivasan who heads TVS Motor and O Suzuki came when the former realised that TVS Suzuki would not be able to do serious R&D work on its own.

With the Victor having some unique technical attributes, Srinivasan has succeeded after taking courage in both hands and letting the company venture forth on its own.
