UAE developer Nakheel eyes India for resorts

 The company is talking to a number of key major players in the Indian hotel market by targeting all segments of the market. The company also plans to leverage heritage properties.

"There are about 600-1,000 palaces in India. We would like to go and work in partnership agreements with the local Indian community, the Indian government and companies to develop the palaces as a product," Gomes added.

Nakheel also has a 25% holding SpiceJet.
