UAE-based Star Engineering Group today said it would be launching a chain of 'Hot Dog and Burger' kiosks across the country, starting with Kochi.
The group would be first concentrating in Kochi, Kerala's commercial capital, where it has plans to open 300 units in 3 years time through franchisee route, Benny John, Managing Director Chickeez Star Foods Private ltd, told reporters here.
The group has invested Rs 2 crore so far and would be investing about Rs 6-7 crore to open outlets in various parts of the state and outside. The products would be launched under the 'Chickeez' banner.
The company would be launching 15 outlets here of which 9 would become operational by Jan 31.
Malayalam actress Samvratha Sunil will formally launch Chickeez fast food chain at a function at Oberon Mall here tomorrow, he said.
The outlets would be in the form of small kiosks in retail outlets, shopping malls, petrol dispensing stations, airprots, railways stations, highway services areas, resorts, he said.
The investment would be funded through internal accruals and by equity, he said.
