Leading steel manufacturer Tata Steel Europe (Corus) today said that it has appointed Uday Chaturvedi as its Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
Chaturvedi, who will join the company's Executive Committee, will take charge on October 1 and would report directly to Tata Steel Europe's Managing Director and CEO, a press statement issued here stated.
His responsibilities would include the company's proposed new manufacturing hubs.
Chaturvedi has held a number of high-level operational positions during his career with the Tata Steel Group, the release said.
Before becoming the Managing Director of Corus Strip Products UK in 2008, he had served as the Vice-President Coke, Sinter and Iron and TQM in Jamshedpur.
