Ultratech Cement net up 2% at Rs 265 crore

The modest increases were due to reasons such as increase in coal prices, ban on cement exports and containing cement prices, the company said. The imported coal prices have gone up from $78 per metric tonne to $179 year on year, resulting variable costs going up by 19 per cent. The company's performance has further impacted by the export ban for six weeks, Ultratech said.
