The company's net sales rose by 10 per cent to Rs 1496 crore in the first quarter of FY 2009 as compared to Rs 1360 crore it posted in Q1 of FY 2008. The increase was due to hike in coal prices, ban on cement exports and containing cement prices, the company said.
The company's performance was further impacted by the export ban for six weeks, Ultratech said.
