UltraTech Cement today reported a 32% increase in net profit at Rs 279 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 when compared with Rs 212 crore in Q3FY07.Net sales during the period increased to Rs 1,382 crore from Rs 1,260 crore - up 10%.The company has earmarked an investment of Rs 3,300 crore to take its capacity to over 22 million tonne per annum in the next three years. It is adding 4.9 MTPA at its Tadpatri project in Andhra Pradesh, which is expected to go on stream in the current quarter.
