Pharma company Unichem Laboratories today said it has received US regulatory approval for Topiramate tablets, used for the treatment of epilepsy.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Unichem Laboratories said it has received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for Topiramate tablets, in the strengths of 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg.
Two other companies, Ranbaxy Laboratories and Aurobindo Pharma are also reported to have got the US FDA nod for Topiramate tablets of varying strengths.
Besides in a separate filing to the BSE, the company said it has appointed Harcharan Singh as the Chief Executive for its pharma business, with effect from March 24.
Shares of Unichem Laboratories were trading at Rs 160, down 1.87 per cent on the BSE today.
