Unichem Laboratories on Monday posted 11.14% rise in net profit at Rs 25.76 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 28.99 crore during the same period a year ago.
However, net sales of the firm rose to Rs 334.9 crore as compared to Rs 304.49 crore during the same period of previous financial year, Unichem Laboratories said in a BSE filing.
Unichem Laboratories manufactures and markets a large basket of pharmaceutical formulations in India and several other markets across the world.
In India, the company is a leader in niche therapy areas of cardiology, neurology, orthopedics and anti-infectives.
Shares of the compay were trading 3.59% down at Rs 292.40 apiece on BSE.
