Uniphore Software Systems, a Chennai-based speech recognition solutions company, which has Infosys co-founder Krish Gopalakrishnan among its investors, today announced opening of new office in Bengaluru. The company will add more than 100 people in the next 15 months to its Bengaluru operations.

The Bengaluru Office will accommodate teams dedicated to research & development, business development, consumer technology and professional services. Sanjeev Gadre, chief marketing officer & senior VP-HR, Uniphore Software Systems, will be leading the Bengaluru team.

"Coming to Bengaluru is a natural progression for a company that works on core technology. The people, the eco-system are very conducive to startup growth and young companies thrive in this Silicon Valley of the East," he said.

Uniphore is building foothold in Singapore, Philippines and UAE, emerging as one of few companies dedicatedly working on Speech Technologies.

Recently the company appointed Douglas Peris as General Manager-Asia Pacific & Middle East to simultaneously work towards expanding the company's business inboth  Asia Pacific and Middle East region, said Ravi Saraogi, Co-Founder and COO, Uniphore Software Systems.

Uniphore Software Systems is headquartered in IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai and currently has offices in India, Philippines and U.A.E with 80 employees spread across all locations.
