United Phosphorus has acquired a Spanish company - CEQUISA, a distributor and registrant of crop-protection products located in Barcelona. According to a release issued by United Phosphorous to the BSE, the company would purchase all stock and related entities, including the assets, products, registrations, property and rights associated with the business of CEQUISA and its subsidiaries.The acquisition provides the company to strengthen its presence in Southern Europe and Northern Africa with a broad product portfolio, the release said. The acquisition will be effective on 07 June, 2005 and will be integrated into the European organization of the vompany based in UK, the release added.
