Construction equipments maker Universal Construction Machinery and Equipments Ltd has launched 10 new products, which would be exported to regions like South America, Europe, middle east and Africa.
The ten newly launched products would help the company overcome the sluggish demand during a slowdown period, the company said.
Based in Pune, Universal has three manufacturing units at Shivare, Shirwal and Shindewadi near Pune. The newly launched products include a 10/7 concrete mixer with hopper , RM 300, PAN Mixer tractor, multipurpose lift, twin skip tower hoist, mini self supported lift, twin cage passenger cum material tift for 1 ton and 2 ton and chimney lift for 300 meters height, a press release issued said.
The new products, with reduced weight , lower cost of operation , lower cost on logistics and compact size, would directly compete with Chinese products in global market.
Universal Construction Machinery and Equipment managing director Ranjeet Moray said, "The construction industry is facing the recession blues. The newly launched products hence come at the right time for us. The market demand was for lowering cost of construction activity as the savings will add on to their earnings. These are multipurpose products with affordable pricing . We have a rural marketing strategy in place to market these products. We will be appointing 100 dealers at district level in the North and 15 in the North East by end of March."
The company plans to increase its export from present 15 per cent to 30 per cent over next two years.
"We have identified newer markets like Nigeria, Tanzania and Saudi Arabia where these products have a lot of potential," added Moray.
