UPDATE: Reliance Infra Q4 net dips 27% at Rs 251 cr

ADAG firm Reliance Infrastructure Ltd today reported a decline of 27.45 per cent to Rs 251 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010, over the same period last year.

The company had a net profit of Rs 346 crore in the same period ended March 2009.

Total income rose to Rs 2,810.6 crore for the January-March quarter 2010, from Rs 2,691.6 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Reliance Infrastructure said in filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The board of directors have proposed an interim dividend of Rs 7.10 per share on the face value of Rs 10 each to the shareholders.\
he company has cash and cash equivalent of over Rs 8,850 crore (USD 2 billion), the filing added.

For the year ended March 31, the company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,519 crore, up 12 per cent in the same period previous fiscal.
