Post stake sale, Xius has launched its US operations by setting up an office in Washington which will be headed by Jan Erik Boers of XY-Mobile who is also designated as the chairman of Xius.
Along with the US company, i-Labs has also infused fresh money into the company, and continues to be the largest stakeholder with a little less than a 50 per cent stake in the enhanced equity of Rs 4.25 crore.
The other stakeholders in the company include the Mumbai-based Zip Telecom, G V Kumar, the managing director and chief executive officer of Xius and few other individuals.
G V Kumar said after two years of its existence, Xius is planning a major foray into the international market.
The company is planning to set up service bureaus in US and Europe so that the cellular service providers need not invest big money on setting up infrastructure like short messaging service centers and billing systems.
The bureaus will be operated on the ASP (application service provider) model wherein Xius will set up the infrastructure and telecom operators can avail of the facilities on
