Usha International launches slew of new products

Usha International, the consumer durable marketing company of the Delhi-based Shriram Group, announced that it would be launching a slew of new products in the market.
 
 

 
As part of this strategy, the company will be introducing the products across categories and across new aggressive price points.
 
 

 
Addressing a press conference in the city, Sunil Wadhwa, managing director of Usha International, said that the company was aiming to strengthen its leadership position in the market through a series of new launches.
 
 

 
According to Wadhwa, the new launches across a range of categories "� fans, sewing machines and home appliances. The company has introduced new fan models across five categories, five new sewing machine models, four new home appliances which include nine models of room coolers and three new water heaters.
 
 

 
"The rural market is a huge market and for the first time we will be offering a fan at a price point of Rs 800. This will break a psychological barrier in so far as ceiling fans are concerned," he said.
 
 

 
Usha International has the largest range of fan offerings in the industry and has models like the Zen for the economy range and the super premium Hunter range which is imported from the US.
 
 

 
The company has now decided to bring in an entirely new range of ceiling, table, wall, pedestal and exhaust fans across the economy and high end market. The company is also introducing Quanta, a high performance fan which is equipped with a specially designed motor for higher air delivery.
 
 

 
The company has also introduced two special models "� Box fan and Tower fan. The Box fan has a choice of four speeds and a special micro motor, whereas the Tower fan has 3 speeds and 60 degree oscillation.
 
 

 
The company has for the first time introduced a remote controlled fan model 'Elegant'. The company has implemented a fully integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) backbone across its 16 divisional offices and 32 warehouses across the country expects to realise substantial benefits in terms of cost savings and enhanced marketing efforts thanks to the volume of quality data that is available now.
