Welspun India today said UTI Mutual Fund (UTI MF) has acquired 12.48 lakh equity shares of the company.UTO Mutual Fund has acquired 12,48,801 equity shares aggregating to 1.63% of the total paid up capital of the Welspun India on June 24, 2005, the company informed the National Stock Exchange.The mode of acquisition is secondary market purchase and the shareholding of uti mutual fund after the acquisition is 47,84,587 equity shares aggregating to 6.23% of the total paid-up capital of the Welspun, on a fully diluted basis, the release said.
