VA Tech bags Rs 344 crore order from Philippines

Order won in participation with JV Angeles Construction Corporation, Philippines

VA Tech Wabag, a leading Indian MNC engaged in water and waste water management, has bagged an order worth Rs 344 crore from Philippines.

The company has said the order from Manila Water Company was won in partnership with a local civil construction company, JV Angeles Construction Corporation, Philippines. 

Wabag is the lead partner and the project is funded by World Bank.

The scope of work comprises design and construction of 100 MLD Ilugin sewage treatment plant for Pasig river wastewater catchment, Pasig city, Metro Manila with operation of the plant for a period of two years.

Commenting on this development, Coleridge Shelley, Country Head, Wabag Philippines said, “This order is of huge importance to us since this is the largest STP order from Philippines.”

With this order intake and the earlier order for Water Treatment Plant at Putatan for Rs 125 crore, Wabag is now a leading player in water and waste water market in Philippines.
