Varun Shipping Company and its wholly-owned, Singapore-based subsidiary VSC International Pte have signed memorandum of agreements for acquisition of three 1991-built LPG carriers.According to a release issued by Varun Shipping to the BSE today, each of these modern vessels have a cargo carrying capacity of around 35,500 cbm, and will be delivered between August and November 2005."With this acquisition, the group will have invested around Rs 1,000 crore during the current financial year," the release added.After completion of the new acquisitions, the company will own 19 vessels including 11 LPG carriers, the release said.
