Auto maker VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) today said it recorded a 19.5% rise in its total sales at 6,051 units in March, 2012.
The company, which is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, had sold 5,065 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales increased to 5,786 units in March from 4,722 units in the year-ago period, an increase of 22%, VECV said in a statement.
Exports, however, fell to 265 units last month from 343 units in March 2011.
Further, VECV, year-to-date 2012 sales stood at 14,195 units as compared to 12,505 units last year, representing a growth of around 14%.
