The retail arm of consumer electronics major Videocon is planning new products such as telecom gadgets and IT software as the company plans a store base of 500 by the middle of this year. |

Vivek Paliwal, head of IT at Next Retail India, said: "Currently, 237 of our 270 stores sell IT products and consumer electronics and appliances and we want to increase this number." |

He said Maharashtra would have 15 more outlets in 2008, in Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad and other cities. |

Paliwal said the company was setting up a line of products in the telecom segment, including GSM cellphone handsets and other gadgets. |
