Virinchi Limited, a Hyderabad-based listed IT company, has expanded its footprint into healthcare sector by setting up a 600-bed super specialty hospital in up-market Banjara Hills in the city at an investment of Rs 300 crore.
Vish Kompella, promoter and chairman emeritus of Virinchi Hospitals on Wednesday said the customer centric technology applications, the industry first diagnostic facilities and adoption of new innovations in medical science such as molecular diagnostics and personalised medicine were going to be the hallmark of services at this new facility.
The hospital, which will have specialties in cardiac, ortho, nephro, neuro, emergency, cancer and transplantation, was being equipped with several firsts in Indian healthcare industry such as 15,000 plus biomarker diagnostic lab, full spectrum radiology markers among other equipment.
Responding to a question on the patient costs, Vish Kompella said there will be an insurance driven cashless hospital facility accessible to all sections of people wherein the differential pricing would be based on the type of room the patient uses.
Virinchi Healthcare Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Virinchi Limited, has raised Rs 70 crore from Canara Bank-led consortium of lenders while the remaining funds for the project were raised internally, according to him.
Virinchi Limited has reported a consolidated income of Rs 218.34 crore for the year 2015-16 and a net profit of Rs 16.20 crore for the year. The company scrip rose 70 paise to close at Rs 54.70 on Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
