Vishal Exports net up 40%

The Ahmedabad-based Vishal Exports Overseas, a four-star export house, has reported a 40 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ending June 30, 2005 at Rs 12.16 crore compared with Rs 7.22 crore during the same quarter in the last financial year.
 
Similarly, sales have increased to Rs 869.83 crore during the quarter compared with Rs 82.24 crore during the same quarter of the last financial year, representing a 49 per cent growth.
 
"Our net profit has increased because of lower interest costs. The policies were known in advance so we could plan early resulting in better results. The outlook is good in the near future." Natrajan T G, chief financial officer, told Business Standard on Thursday.
