Vodafone 3G in Mumbai growing at 12-13%

Company has unveiled a campaign to communicate with its audience, help them pick appropriate packs & content

Vodafone India today said that revenues from its 3G business in the Mumbai circle is growing at around 12-13% per month.

“We expect this to grow by another few%age points more, with our new initiatives,” said Arvind Vohra, business head of Vodafone Mumbai. The company today unveiled a campaign to communicate with its audience and help them to pick the appropriate packs and content.

Vohra claimed that half of the smartphones users in their own network already have a 3G connection.

“We are gunning for the other half,” he said. The Mumbai circle has 6.5 million subscribers and 3.2 of them are already subscribed to their data services, either on 2G or on 3G.
